Lin was born and raised in Loudoun County, Virginia, where his family has lived for generations. After studying drafting and engineering in college, Lin began his career as a building engineer, gaining experience alongside developers and construction companies. In 1994, he launched his own general contracting firm, laying the foundation for what would become Lincoln Construction.
In 2023, Lin announced his plan to gradually transition out of daily operations, passing responsibilities to Trae, Mitch, and Tammy. Though stepping back, Lin will continue to contribute his expertise, consulting on projects and handling budget planning for clients.
Outside of work, Lin enjoys spending time with his family and his dog, Sweetie. Whether at the river, in the mountains, or traveling with his wife, he finds joy in the outdoors and family life.
Trae Sutphin

Trae joined Lincoln Construction in 2006 as a laborer and has since worked in nearly every field position, gaining hands-on experience across the company. In late 2016, he transitioned to the office to learn the project management side of the business. Today, Trae handles project estimates, manages ongoing projects, and is steadily learning all aspects of Lincoln Construction as he prepares to take on greater responsibilities as his father, Lin, moves toward retirement.
Outside of work, Trae enjoys spending time with friends, racing, working on cars, golfing, and fishing.
Mitch Miller
Secretary, Licensed HVAC Master Mechanic/Field Operations Manager

Mitch joined Lincoln Construction in February 2006, bringing with him the expertise he gained from running his own HVAC company. He is a licensed professional in Maryland and Virginia and has spent years training HVAC technicians, including managing summer apprenticeship programs to help grow the next generation of skilled professionals.
At Lincoln Construction, Mitch wears many hats. He handles everything for the HVAC division: bids, orders and project management. He recently has taken on workforce scheduling and field supervision. Mitch has become an invaluable asset to the team, and he will continue to take on even greater responsibilities as Lin transitions into retirement.
Outside of work, Mitch enjoys working on his race cars, raising cattle, and is always quick to lend a hand to anyone in need.
Tammy Foley

With over three decades of experience in the construction industry, Tammy has been a vital part of Lincoln Construction since its beginning. She first worked with Lin at GCC before joining him as his secretary, receptionist, and bookkeeper when he founded Lincoln Construction. After a couple of years, Tammy transitioned into project management, and over the years, her role has expanded to include overseeing daily operations, safety, insurance, payroll, financial reviews, and providing essential support for both the office and field teams.
Tammy is currently completing her business degree in accounting, demonstrating her ongoing commitment to professional development. Outside of work, she enjoys tackling projects around her home and spending quality time with her family.
Adam Sikes
Assistant Project Manager/Estimator

Adam joined Lincoln Construction in September 2022 and has quickly become a valued member of the team. He jumped right in, mastering the company’s software and even helping to implement a new system to track project progress in the field. Adam supports all projects, coordinating subcontractor pricing for bids and budgets, keeping the team organized, and providing critical support for both office and field operations.
Outside of work, Adam is a talented musician who plays guitar and piano, enjoys hiking, camping, and rides his bike on the W&OD trail. In his spare time, he builds guitars, showcasing his craftsmanship on Sikes Instruments.
Patti Greene

Patti joined Lincoln Construction in 2005 as a receptionist and quickly advanced to bookkeeper, eventually taking on the role of assistant project manager. In June 2016, she became Lincoln Construction’s full-charge bookkeeper, where she now oversees financial management in collaboration with our CPA, ensuring all taxes and financial records are up to date. Known for her helpfulness, Patti also assists with various office management tasks, providing invaluable support to the team.
Outside of work, Patti has a deep love for animals and enjoys traveling, crafting, and spending quality time with her family.
